Innovating new biotechnologies for cell and tissue engineering

MRC UKRI Innovation/Rutherford Fund Fellow
Department of Materials, Imperial College London

About

I am an MRC/UKRI Research Fellow in the Department of Materials at Imperial College, with a passion for developing new biotechnologies that can enhance tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. My most recent work has focussed on the development of gradient-casting technologies for osteochondral tissue engineering, the production of acoustic cell patterning devices for musculoskeletal tissue engineering, and the first demonstration of ultrasound-triggered enzymatic gelation.

** I will have vacancies available for PhD and postdocs starting in 2021 / 2022. If you are interested please contact me at james.armstrong@imperial.ac.uk **
